WHERE IT ALL STARTED

To David Lane’s family, home was where the Landy was. When you have 5000 acres of bushland in South Africa to navigate, keeping the fleet in top condition was a necessity. After all, the last thing you want to do is break down. If the heat doesn’t get you, the wildlife might.

David’s early years maintaining these incredible vehicles, in the most unforgiving conditions, served as an engineering apprenticeship – perfecting a craft and developing a lifelong love affair with an auto icon.

‘Dad’s Landy’, a Series 2A was David’s first restoration. It was the inspiration that created a passion, and the start of a dream to create his own Defender.

Today, that dream is a reality. Oshe’s project range of Defenders capture the essence of these beautiful beasts, updated for a more refined use. Each one is unique, designed with you, built with love and delivered with a piece of the Limpopo Valley at its heart.
